I’m not sure what’s supposed to be “funny” about the “Girl Attends School Via Robot” – that’s a telepresence robot, she’s probably sick or injured and can’t be at school, but this gives her a way to interact with other people and attend in some way. That’s kind of like laughing at someone in a wheelchair.

  2. Robin says:

The “Captain Missing Sandwich” one is from the town called Sandwich in MA (Fox 25 is a Boston station). Meaning the headline is Captain Missing in Sandwich not that the Captain is missing a sandwich. :)

    • Jon says:

This is actually about a special position in a Police Department. (Missing Sandwich) You start Officer Missing Sandwich, and some day you will end up Captain Missing Sandwich. You can even be migrated to the Federal Bureau of Missing Sandwich.

  3. Edward says:

“We now go live to our live reporter, who is live on the scene where a man has been killed to death.”
    - Channel 3′s 6:00 News at 6. On the side that’s the side you’re on.

(I feel cheap for having made this joke on another site long ago, but I think it’s justified. Also, the fact that I’ve repeated the entire joke makes it meta.)

  4. Becca says:

The syrup one is from the Colbert Report.

    • Becca says:

As in, a fake Colbert Report news story about syrup. It was made with the sole purpose of being funny. Not a real news screenshot. So maybe take it down?

  5. Draulin says:

No, she isn’t sick, she’s obese.

  6. georgina says:

    yaaaay for yetis in CT!!!
